COURSE CURRICULUM

The Engineering Diploma program is structured into two terms. In the first term (23.00 credits), students take APSC 120 (Introduction to Engineering, 1.00 credit), APSC 130 (Technical Drafting and Computer-Aided Design, 3.00 credits), CHEM 154 (Chemical Principles for Engineers, 4.00 credits), COMP 120 (Computer Science for Engineers, 4.00 credits), ENGL 100 (University Writing Strategies, 3.00 credits), MATH 116 (Calculus I for Physical Sciences and Engineering, 4.00 credits), and PHYS 114 (Fundamental Physics I, 4.00 credits). In the second term (20.00 credits), required courses include APSC 120 (Introduction to Engineering, continued), APSC 140 (Engineering Design, 3.00 credits), MATH 126 (Calculus II for Physical Sciences and Engineering, 3.00 credits), MATH 252 (Linear Algebra and Differential Equations, 4.00 credits), PHYS 115 (Fundamental Physics II, 4.00 credits), PHYS 116 (Fundamental Physics III, 3.00 credits), and a 3.00 credit Arts Elective (100-level or higher).
