COURSE CURRICULUM

The curriculum requires 60 credits over two years, including core English courses and electives. Required courses include University Transferable English (6 credits), Humanities (6 credits), Science and Technology (9 credits, including lab science and quantitative/analytical), Social Sciences (6 credits), and Arts/Sciences electives (18 credits). Specific to English, students take ENGL 100 (Academic Writing Strategies), ENGL 103 (Introduction to Literature), and upper-level English courses like ENGL 200 (Literature in English from Beowulf to Paradise Lost), ENGL 201 (Literature in English from the 18th Century to the Present), and options in creative writing, Canadian literature, or world literature. Students must also complete a capstone or portfolio project. The program ensures a balanced education with breadth requirements in various disciplines.
