COURSE CURRICULUM

The curriculum includes 60 credits over two years. First-year courses cover introductory creative writing, English composition, literature surveys, and electives in humanities or social sciences. Students take courses like Introduction to Creative Writing, English Literature, and foundational arts subjects. In the second year, advanced courses include Fiction Writing, Poetry Workshop, Scriptwriting, and specialized topics like Creative Non-Fiction. Students must complete a capstone project or portfolio. Additional requirements include breadth electives in sciences, quantitative/analytical courses, and lab sciences to meet associate degree standards. The program ensures a minimum of 18 credits in arts, with a focus on upper-level creative writing courses.
