COURSE CURRICULUM

The MPAcc program requires students to complete fifteen half-credit courses that cover a comprehensive range of accounting topics to ensure a well-rounded education in the field. Core courses include Financial Accounting I, II, and III, which provide a strong foundation in financial reporting and analysis. Managerial Accounting and Advanced Management Accounting focus on the internal use of accounting information for decision-making and strategic planning. Financial Statement Analysis and Corporate Finance for Accounting equip students with skills to evaluate financial health and corporate financial management. Assurance courses I and II cover auditing principles and practices, while Taxation I and II delve into tax regulations and compliance. Business Law is included to familiarize students with the legal environment affecting business and accounting practices. The program also emphasizes analytical and problem-solving abilities through the Analysis and Problem Solving course. Information Technology and Systems addresses the increasing importance of technology in accounting, and Corporate Governance focuses on the structures and processes for corporate accountability and control. Together, these courses form an integrative curriculum designed to prepare students for professional roles in accounting, ensuring they possess both technical expertise and critical thinking skills necessary to succeed in a dynamic and global business environment.
