COURSE CURRICULUM

Research-Based Pathway of the Master of Education program, students must choose between completing a Major Research Paper (MRP) or a thesis when applying to the program. Those opting for the Major Research Paper (MRP) option are required to complete seven half-credit courses, including EDUC 5P92—An Introduction to Educational Research—which provides essential foundational knowledge in research methodologies and critical analysis within the field of education. Additionally, students must complete the exit course EDUC 5D91, which serves as a capstone experience, allowing them to integrate and apply their learning. The MRP pathway balances coursework with an opportunity to engage in focused, in-depth research without the full commitment of a thesis.
