COURSE CURRICULUM

The concurrent Bachelor of Nursing/Master of Nursing (BN/MN) program requires the successful completion of 20 courses totaling 18.5 credits over five continuous terms, divided into three undergraduate and two graduate terms. During the first term, students focus on foundational nursing skills, including care of adults and older adults, assessment techniques, pathophysiology, relational care, leadership, and critical evidence analysis for nursing practice. The second term builds on these foundations by emphasizing family and community care, related health concerns, leadership in promoting change, and epidemiology in nursing and healthcare. In the third term, students advance their knowledge with courses on chronic health concerns, mental health disorders, group leadership, and qualitative research methods. The graduate-level fourth term focuses on advancing nursing practice with care for critically ill patients, foundations of nursing practice and inquiry, understanding relational leadership contexts, and applied research skills. In the final term, students prepare for graduate-level practice, engage in relational leadership and management, and learn to translate research into practical nursing applications. This comprehensive curriculum ensures students gain a broad and deep understanding of nursing theory, research, leadership, and clinical practice to excel in advanced nursing roles and meet professional standards.
