COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Kinesiology (BKin) program at Brock University offers a comprehensive education grounded in a science-practice model that emphasizes the biophysical, behavioural, and socio-cultural dimensions of human movement. In Year 1, students build foundational knowledge through courses like Foundations of Human Anatomy, Human Systems Anatomy, and Research Design in Kinesiology, along with core science courses in biology and physics. Year 2 expands into applied topics such as Musculoskeletal Anatomy, Motor Behaviour, Exercise Physiology, Nutrition, and Human Growth and Development, while integrating psychological and social perspectives through electives like Sport Psychology and Sociology of Sport. In Year 3, the focus shifts to application and assessment with courses in Fitness Assessment, Motor Learning, Biomechanics, Training Principles, and Quantitative Analysis, supported by electives and a Social Sciences context credit. The final year (Year 4) includes advanced topics such as Clinical Biomechanics, ergonomics, and ethics, while offering flexibility through upper-year KINE electives.
