COURSE CURRICULUM

The Integrated Engineering program curriculum spans four years, beginning with foundational courses in Year 1 such as Transition to Engineering, Fundamentals of Engineering Design, Introduction to Programming, Chemical Principles, Applied Calculus, Linear Algebra, Physics, and Indigenous Engagement, alongside a humanities context credit. In Year 2, students deepen their technical skills with courses like Manufacturing Processes, Computer-Aided Design, Electric and Electronic Circuits, Modelling of Engineered Systems, Engineering Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Applied AI, Digital Systems, and Probability and Statistics. Year 3 offers advanced and specialized topics including Renewable and Clean Energy, Transportation, Mechanics of Materials, Project Management, Computer Simulation, Healthy Communities, Applied Machine Learning, Automation and Robotics, Sensors and Actuators, Biomedical Devices, Sustainable Engineering of Future Cities, and a social sciences context credit. The final year focuses on integrating knowledge through the Capstone Design Project, professional ethics and law, and Technology Entrepreneurship. Students also select two and a half credits from advanced electives such as Internet of Things, Intelligent Control, Environmental Design, Mechatronic Systems, Nanotechnology, Digital Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Data Mining, Cybersecurity, Real-time Systems, Water Resources Management, Finite Element Analysis, Building Information Modelling, and Biosensors. This comprehensive program blends core engineering fundamentals with emerging technologies, preparing students for multidisciplinary engineering challenges.
