COURSE CURRICULUM

The International Business concentration within the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program equips students with the knowledge and skills to operate effectively in global markets. To qualify, students must maintain a minimum 70% major average and a 60% non-major average. In Year 1, students complete foundational courses in accounting, micro- and macroeconomics, data analysis, communication, business principles, statistics, and calculus, along with one Humanities or Sciences context credit. Year 2 deepens their understanding through management accounting, commercial law, business econometrics, entrepreneurship, corporate finance, marketing, organizational behaviour, operations, and information systems. Year 3 introduces international business (MGMT 3P98) and develops core competencies in ethics, finance, marketing management, and human resources, complemented by electives and a second context credit. In Year 4, students complete the business strategy capstone (MGMT 4P90) and choose from advanced international business electives such as international finance, marketing, trade, entrepreneurship, and multinational enterprise economics. A language course other than English is encouraged to enhance global readiness. This concentration prepares graduates for careers in international trade, global finance, multinational management, and consulting by providing a strong foundation in global strategy, cross-cultural communication, and international market dynamics essential for navigating today’s interconnected business world.
