COURSE CURRICULUM

The General Management concentration within the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program is designed for students seeking a broad understanding of all core business functions to prepare for leadership roles across industries. To pursue this concentration, students must achieve a minimum 70 percent major average, 60 percent non-major average, and a minimum 70 percent average across key courses: FNCE 2P91, MKTG 2P91, OBHR 2P91, and OPER 2P91. In Year 1, students build foundational knowledge in financial accounting, microeconomics, macroeconomics, data analysis, business communication, calculus, statistics, and one context credit. Year 2 introduces specialized areas such as management accounting, commercial law, econometrics, entrepreneurship, corporate finance, information systems, marketing, organizational behaviour, operations management, and a half elective credit. In Year 3, students take courses in business ethics, corporate finance II, international business, marketing management, human resource management, and choose from business electives while completing remaining context credits and one general elective. Year 4 focuses on strategic and applied learning through courses like business strategy, marketing research, an upper-year OBHR course, electives, and at least one finance-focused course such as financial theory, financial analysis, or international finance. This concentration develops versatile business leaders with a balanced, cross-functional skillset.
