COURSE CURRICULUM

The Computing and Business Honours program is a comprehensive four-year degree offered at the main campus, designed to blend computer science with core business principles. In the first year, students build foundational skills in computer science with courses like Introduction to Computer Science, Data Structures, and Integrity and Literacy in the Information Age, while also studying business fundamentals such as Principles of Business, Communication, Microeconomics, and Macroeconomics, alongside mathematics tailored for computing. The second year advances technical expertise with courses on Advanced Data Structures, Programming Languages, Computer Architecture, and Operating Systems, while integrating business concepts including Financial Accounting, Practical Statistics, and options in Entrepreneurship, Corporate Finance, Marketing, Organizational Behaviour, or Operations Management. In the third year, students deepen their computing knowledge through Algorithms, Database Systems, and Artificial Intelligence, and explore management accounting, commercial law, and business econometrics, alongside further business electives. The final year focuses on Software Engineering, advanced computing topics, and upper-level business and non-business electives, with continued opportunities to study entrepreneurship, finance, marketing, organizational behaviour, or operations management. This structured curriculum prepares graduates to successfully navigate the intersection of technology and business, equipping them with the skills to excel as professionals in diverse and competitive environments.
