COURSE CURRICULUM

The BCIT Graduate Certificate in Business Administration is structured into two terms designed to provide comprehensive, practical business knowledge at a master’s level over nine months. In Term 1, students complete foundational courses in Managerial Economics (ECON 9100), Accounting for Managers (FMGT 9152), and Marketing Management (MKTG 9120), each carrying 3 credits, which collectively build a solid base in economic principles, financial understanding, and strategic marketing. These courses emphasize applied learning through case studies, collaborative projects, and real-world problem-solving to develop essential managerial competencies. In Term 2, students advance with Business Finance (FMGT 9260), Systems and Operations Management (OPMT 9170), and the capstone course, Business Capstone Project (GLBL 9200), totaling 10 credits. The capstone project allows students to integrate their learning by tackling real industry challenges, developing strategic solutions, and presenting their findings in a professional context. This hands-on experience is critical for enhancing decision-making, leadership, and analytical skills. The overall 19-credit program combines theory and practice, delivered through a blended learning format, enabling students to balance study with professional commitments.
