COURSE CURRICULUM

The Radio Arts and Entertainment Diploma program is structured across four levels, totaling 105 credits, and designed to develop students’ skills in media performance, content creation, and industry knowledge through a blend of coursework and practicum experiences. In Level 1, students focus on foundational skills with courses such as Videography for Radio Arts and Entertainment (2 credits), Media Performance (6 credits), Journalism 1 (3 credits), Sound Design 1 (2 credits), Policy, Regulation and Ethics in Society 1 (3 credits), Business Communication 1 (3 credits), and Online Design (4 credits), totaling 23 credits. Level 2 deepens practical skills and industry exposure with Introduction to Video Editing (3 credits), Script Performance (2 credits), Journalism 2 (3 credits), Advanced Media Performance (4 credits), Documentary Production (2 credits), Business Communication 2 (4 credits), and a five-week Practicum 1 (7 credits), summing to 25 credits. Level 3 builds on media production and law with Advertising: Theory and Techniques (3 credits), Marketing Foundations (2 credits), Advanced Video Editing (3 credits), Media Lab 1 (15 credits), and Broadcast Law (3 credits), totaling 26 credits. Finally, Level 4 includes courses like Music & Media Business (2 credits), Marketing: Sales and Public Relations (3 credits), Career Development (2 credits), Social Media Research for Radio Arts & Entertainment (2 credits), Media Lab 2 (15 credits), and a four-week Practicum 2 (7 credits), adding up to 31 credits.
