Level 3, covering 15 weeks, enhances technical skills with courses such as Technical Writing and Communication (3 credits), Statistics for Natural Resources (4 credits), Field Project in Fish, Wildlife, and Recreation 1 (7 credits), Terrestrial Field School (3 credits), Parks, Protected Areas, and Recreation (4 credits), Wildlife Management and Stewardship (4 credits), Freshwater Fisheries Management and Stewardship (4 credits), and Indigenous Perspectives and Land Stewardship (4 credits). Finally, Level 4, spanning 16 weeks, focuses on advanced application and integration through courses including Environmental Monitoring (4 credits), Statistical and Spatial Analysis of Biological Data (4 credits), Field Project in Fish, Wildlife, and Recreation 2 (8 credits), Aquatic Field School (3 credits), Integrated Ecosystem Management (4 credits), and Trail Design and Management (4 credits). In total, the program requires completion of 112 credits, offering a balanced combination of theoretical knowledge, technical skills, field experience, and applied projects to prepare graduates for diverse careers in resource conservation, management, and stewardship.
