COURSE CURRICULUM

The Computer Information Systems Administration (CISA) program is structured over four levels, totaling 140 credits, designed to develop expertise in IT infrastructure administration and network management. Level 1 introduces foundational skills through courses such as Network Essentials, Desktop Support and Maintenance, Windows Server Essentials, Linux Essentials, Database Essentials, and Programming Essentials, each worth 5 credits. Level 2 builds on this foundation with more advanced topics including IP Routing Fundamentals, Ethernet Switching Fundamentals, Windows Server Administration, Linux Administration, Network Security Fundamentals, and Business Skills for IT, mostly 6-credit courses, along with a practical Campus Network Project worth 4 credits. Level 3 advances students’ knowledge with courses focused on Advanced Ethernet Switching, Deploying Wireless Systems, Windows Services, Messaging Systems, VoIP Systems, and Enterprise Network Security, all 5-credit courses emphasizing hands-on deployment and security management. Level 4 culminates in advanced studies such as Advanced Routing Services, Enterprise Windows Services, Unified Communications, Deploying Cloud Services, Managing Network Services, Advanced Network Security, and a capstone Enterprise Network Project, mostly 6-credit courses except the 4-credit project. This comprehensive progression equips students with practical skills in installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex enterprise IT systems, with an emphasis on real-world application and industry standards. The curriculum also encourages students to pursue industry certifications to enhance professional credentials and career readiness in managing modern network infrastructures.
