COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business Management Diploma at BCIT is structured across four levels, totaling 109.5 credits, and offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip students with practical business skills and knowledge. In Level 1, students take foundational courses such as Business Information Systems, Introduction to Organizational Development, Business Communication 1, Macroeconomics, Introduction to Operations Management, and Business Mathematics, which collectively build a solid base in essential business concepts and analytical skills. Level 2 deepens understanding through Applied Data Analytics in Excel, Business Communication 2, Microeconomics, Accounting for Business Administration, International Business, Human Resource Management Framework, Essentials of Marketing, and Statistics for Business. This level emphasizes data analysis, communication, and the core principles of business operations and management. Level 3 focuses on advanced topics including Business Law, Business Intelligence, Innovation and Intrapreneurship, Ethics and Sustainable Business Practices, Management Accounting Administration, Marketing Research, and Leadership, preparing students to think strategically and ethically while leading teams and projects. In Level 4, students engage with Management Science, Internet Applications, Business Metrics, Management Policy, Business Consulting Projects, Finance for Business Management, Labour Relations, Project Management, and Organizational Change, which culminate in practical, real-world application through consulting projects and strategic management courses. Throughout the program, half-term courses enable focused study on specialized subjects.
