COURSE CURRICULUM

The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Category M program is structured over four terms, each lasting 16 weeks, totaling 64 weeks of study. In Term 1, students complete foundational courses such as Introduction to Aviation (2 credits), Aviation Hand Tools Hardware and Structure (8 credits), Physics and Drawings (4 credits), Sheet Metal and Fasteners (4 credits), Electrical Fundamentals (10 credits), and Electrical Standard Practices (4 credits). Term 2 builds on this foundation with courses like Aviation Electronics (4 credits), Aircraft Hydraulics (4 credits), Landing Gear Wheels and Brakes (4 credits), Power Generation and Distribution Systems (8 credits), Aircraft Systems (6 credits), and Aircraft Instrumentation Systems and Regulations (6 credits). In Term 3, students deepen their knowledge with Power Plant Introduction (4 credits), Aircraft Reciprocating Engines (8 credits), Reciprocating Engine Systems (6 credits), Aircraft Propellers (4 credits), and Turbine Engines and Systems (10 credits). The final Term 4 includes specialized courses such as Rotary Wing Aircraft (10 credits), Composites (2 credits), Aircraft Rigging (6 credits), and Aircraft Maintenance Organization Operations (14 credits), alongside Technical Communications (2 credits) and attendance requirements.
