COURSE CURRICULUM

The full-time Forensic Investigation: Digital Forensics and Cybersecurity Bachelor of Technology program is structured over four 15-week terms and totals 62.0 credits. In Term 1, students begin with foundational knowledge in digital forensics, cybersecurity, and legal procedures through courses such as Forensic Applications of Criminal Law 1, Introduction to Digital Forensics and Evidence Imaging, Cybersecurity Foundations, and Digital Forensics in the Cloud. They also develop academic writing skills in Critical Reading and Writing. Term 2 advances legal and investigative training with Criminal Law 2: Legal Evidence, Research Methodology and Measurement Models, and specialized courses in Mobile Forensics, Digital Forensics 1, and Network Security 1. Term 3 continues to deepen technical capabilities with Principles of Incident Response and Disaster Recovery, Digital Forensics 2, Network Security 2, Security Applications, and the first part of a capstone Graduation Project. In the final term, students build leadership and communication competencies through Management Skills and Applications, Report Writing and Workplace Communication for Forensic Investigation, and Applied Ethics. Technical learning concludes with Network Exploits and Vulnerabilities and the second phase of the Graduation Project. The curriculum is designed to give students strong practical and theoretical knowledge in digital forensics and cybersecurity, while developing investigative, legal, and professional communication skills for careers in law enforcement, cybersecurity, and forensic consulting.
