COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering program spans eight levels over four years and delivers a robust curriculum combining theoretical foundations, practical skills, and project-based learning. In Level 1, students begin with essential courses such as Engineering Materials, Technical Communication, Basic Technical Mathematics, and introductory mechanical engineering concepts like Statics, Engineering Graphics, and Computer Applications. Level 2 deepens the knowledge base with advanced mathematics and physics, as well as Manufacturing Processes, Engineering Graphics 2, Dynamics, Strength of Materials, and continuation in Engineering Materials. In Level 3, the focus shifts to core mechanical disciplines, including Fluid Mechanics, Mechatronics, Machine Design, Fluid Power, and Computer-Aided Engineering. Level 4 expands on technical communication and introduces Automation, Robotics, Thermal Engineering, and Engineering Design/Projects, along with coursework in Applied Differential Equations and Electrical Equipment. Level 5 builds on engineering fundamentals with courses like Thermodynamics, Mechanics and Mechanisms, Engineering Programming, Chemistry, Materials Engineering, and Probability and Statistics. In Level 6, students study Electronics, Microcontrollers, Environmental Engineering, Control Systems, Numerical Methods, and Fluid Mechanics 2, with an optional practicum for hands-on industry experience. Level 7 continues with advanced topics such as Heat Transfer, Mechanical Vibrations, Mechanics of Solids, Capstone Project 1, and a breadth course in Technology and Society. Finally, Level 8 culminates with Capstone Project 2, System Design, Engineering Law and Ethics, and Management Skills, alongside electives in Concurrent Engineering or Building Systems, and required Liberal Studies and Natural Science electives. With a total of 235 credits, this program thoroughly prepares students for professional engineering roles in diverse industries by combining rigorous academics, practical application, and interdisciplinary training.
