COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor in Architectural Science program consists of four levels, each lasting 15 weeks, with a total of 85.5 credits required for graduation. Level 5 includes courses such as Graphic/Digital Communications, Architectural Foundation Studio, History of Materials and Building Systems, Environmental Separators, Sustainable Design, and Critical Reading and Writing, totaling 22.5 credits. Level 6 offers Architectural Technology Studio 4, Technical Language of Architecture, Building Envelope Performance, and Applied Ethics, amounting to 16.5 credits. In Level 7, students take Tectonics Architecture and Design/Build, Building Envelope Lab, Systems Integration Studio, Graduating Project - Project Proposal, and Management Skills and Applications, totaling 22.5 credits, alongside 3.0 credits of Liberal Studies electives with program head approval. Level 8 focuses on Project Delivery, Building Science Design Project, and the major Graduating Project, with a total of 15 credits, plus an additional 3.0 credits of Liberal Studies electives. Students must also complete 6.0 credits of Professional Electives, including courses like Directed Studies in Architectural Science (subject to program head approval) and Wood Design, to tailor their education to specific interests. Throughout the program, Liberal Studies electives totaling 6.0 credits are required to support a well-rounded education. The curriculum emphasizes sustainable design, building science, and architectural technology, while integrating critical thinking and practical skills through studio projects and research.
