COURSE CURRICULUM

The Esports Business Management program offers a comprehensive four-term curriculum designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the rapidly growing esports industry. In Term 1, students build a solid foundation in business and esports fundamentals with courses such as Introduction to Financial Accounting, Introduction to Esports, Introduction to Management, Business Communication, and Introduction to Marketing. These courses provide essential business principles alongside an overview of the esports landscape. Term 2 dives deeper into the esports industry with Esports Global Ecosystem, Production and Broadcasting in Esports, and introduces topics like Human Resources, Organizations and Sustainability, and Business Mathematics, combining industry-specific knowledge with broader business skills. In Term 3, students explore specialized areas including Esports Marketing and Monetization and Business Law, while also selecting at least nine credits from electives such as Management Accounting, Insurance and Risk Management, Business Analytics, and Entrepreneurship. This term allows students to tailor their education to their career goals. The final term focuses on advanced concepts and practical application through courses like Esports Health, Wellness, and Ethics, and the Esports Business Management Capstone, which integrates and applies learning in a real-world context. Additional courses in Macroeconomics, Business Strategy, and Organizational Behaviour prepare students for leadership roles within the industry. The program includes zero-textbook-cost and PLAR-eligible courses, enhancing affordability and accessibility. With industry-informed curriculum and practical experience, graduates are well-prepared for careers as coaches, broadcasters, event managers, or other professionals in the esports business sector.
