COURSE CURRICULUM

The Digital Design Diploma program is structured across four academic terms, offering a comprehensive curriculum that equips students with both creative and technical skills essential for careers in the digital design field. In Term 1, students are introduced to foundational knowledge with courses like Fundamental Principles of Digital Design, Typography, and an overview of the digital design profession. They also begin developing user experience (UX) design skills and learn about digital marketing communications. Term 2 builds on this foundation with a focus on interaction design, both for mobile and web applications, and includes hands-on studio work and training in digital design tools. Branding and storytelling are also covered to enhance students' ability to create compelling, strategic visual content. Term 3 emphasizes motion graphics, video and audio production, layout techniques, and advanced studio problem-solving, while students begin planning for their capstone projects in a dedicated research and planning course. In the final term, students delve into advanced motion graphics, interaction design for social experiences, and professional practice in digital design. The program culminates with a capstone project that showcases their accumulated skills and creativity. An additional course in design thinking for UX further strengthens their ability to solve complex user-centered design challenges. Throughout the program, students work on real-world assignments that prepare them for industry roles such as graphic designer, front-end developer, or mobile designer. The curriculum integrates creativity, technology, and practical experience, supporting students in becoming adaptable and industry-ready digital media professionals. The program also features zero textbook costs for many courses and recognizes prior learning, offering additional accessibility and flexibility for students with relevant experience.
