COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Project Management is a 160-credit-point postgraduate program designed to develop advanced skills in planning, executing, and managing complex projects across diverse industries. The program consists of an 80-credit-point core component that builds strong foundational knowledge in key project management areas such as managing project teams and stakeholders, financial management of projects, time and quality management, project procurement systems, risk management and decision-making, strategic project management, project controls and integration, and project management frameworks and methods. These core subjects ensure students develop the technical, analytical, and leadership capabilities required for effective project delivery in professional environments. In addition to the core subjects, students complete an 80-credit-point pathway, which allows them to specialise according to their career goals and interests. Pathway options include a Research pathway, which involves completing research project subjects (Research Project A and B), and a Work-Integrated Learning pathway, which includes industry-based learning through structured work placements. Students also select a major stream aligned with their professional focus, such as Construction, Engineering, Health, Information Technology, or a Generic Project Management major. This structure ensures flexibility while maintaining strong industry relevance. Overall, the program integrates theory, practical application, and specialised learning, preparing graduates for leadership roles in project management across construction, engineering, ICT, healthcare, and business sectors.
