COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Professional Accounting (Advanced) is a 160-credit-point postgraduate program designed to develop advanced knowledge and professional competence in accounting, finance, and related business disciplines. The program consists of a 120-credit-point core component that builds a strong foundation in accounting theory, practice, and professional application. Core subjects include Accounting Professional Engagement, Accounting Theory and Applications, Auditing, Company Accounting, Management Accounting, and Introductory Accounting, which collectively develop technical accounting expertise. Students also study Corporate Finance, Economics, Information Systems for Accountants, and Accounting Theory to strengthen analytical and decision-making skills in business contexts. Legal and regulatory understanding is developed through Commercial Law, Company Law, and Principles of Taxation, ensuring graduates understand the legal frameworks governing business and financial reporting. The program integrates both theoretical knowledge and practical application, preparing students to work effectively in professional accounting environments. In addition to the core subjects, students complete 40 credit points of elective postgraduate business subjects, allowing them to tailor their studies to specific interests or career goals, subject to academic approval. These electives provide flexibility to explore advanced topics in business and finance.
