COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Information and Communications Technology (MICT) is a 160-credit-point postgraduate program designed to build advanced technical knowledge, professional skills, and practical experience in the ICT field. The program structure consists of three main components: Core subjects, Major studies, and Alternate subjects. The Core component accounts for 90 credit points and provides a strong foundation in key areas of information and communications technology. These core studies develop essential knowledge in computing principles, systems design, programming, networks, and emerging technologies, while also strengthening problem-solving, analytical thinking, and professional ICT practice. The Major component contributes 40 credit points and allows students to specialise in a specific area of ICT, such as networking, cybersecurity, software development, or data-related technologies, depending on their chosen field of study. This specialisation enables students to deepen their expertise and align their learning with career goals. The Alternate Subjects component consists of 30 credit points and provides flexibility for students to broaden their knowledge or explore complementary areas of interest within or outside ICT.
