COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Engineering program is structured as a 160-credit-point postgraduate degree designed to develop advanced technical knowledge, practical engineering skills, and professional readiness. The core component consists of 60 credit points and includes essential subjects such as Specialised Software Applications, Sustainable Systems, Engineering Project 1 (PG), Engineering Project 2 (PG), and Industrial Experience (PG). This core structure also includes a mandatory 12-week industrial experience training program, which is required for Engineers Australia accreditation and provides students with valuable real-world industry exposure. The discipline-specific Master of Engineering component contributes 70 credit points, allowing students to deepen their expertise through advanced mechanical and engineering-focused subjects. These include areas such as Advanced Computer Aided Engineering, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Dynamic Systems, Numerical Methods in Engineering, Robotics, Thermal and Fluid Engineering, Mechanical System Design, and Mechatronic System Design. The alternate subjects are designed to provide flexibility and allow students to tailor their studies toward specific engineering interests and career goals. In addition, students complete 30 credit points of level 7 elective subjects, which further enhance specialization or broaden technical knowledge across related fields.
