COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Business Analytics program is structured as a 160-credit-point degree designed to provide flexible study pathways and strong industry-focused analytical skills. The program is organised into multiple components that vary depending on whether a student follows a 1-year, 1.5-year, or 2-year pathway, allowing entry based on prior academic background. The Core Group 1 component carries 70 credit points and forms the foundation of the program, covering essential areas of business analytics, data interpretation, statistical methods, and data-driven decision-making. Core Group 2 contributes an additional 10 credit points for students in the 1.5 and 2-year pathways, offering further advanced understanding of analytics applications in business contexts. Students also complete Alternate Subjects, with Group 1 (10 credit points) available for the 1-year pathway and Group 2 (20 credit points) for the 1.5 and 2-year pathways, providing flexibility to broaden or strengthen specific skill areas. In addition, 20 credit points of Elective Subjects allow students to explore complementary disciplines and tailor their learning experience. For the 2-year pathway, students must also complete a 40-credit-point major, which provides specialised expertise in areas such as Operations Management, Finance, or Marketing. Overall, the structure ensures that students gain a balanced mix of core analytical knowledge, applied business skills, and specialised training, preparing them for careers in data-driven decision-making roles across various industries.
