COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Traditional Chinese Medicine is a 320 credit point program designed to prepare students for professional practice in acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and holistic healthcare. The degree is structured around a 280 credit point core component that provides comprehensive training in Traditional Chinese Medicine theory, biomedical sciences, and clinical practice. Students progressively develop knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and disease processes alongside traditional Chinese medical concepts such as diagnosis, treatment principles, herbal pharmacology, and acupuncture techniques. The core curriculum also places strong emphasis on evidence-based practice, ethical and safe patient care, and the development of clinical reasoning and interprofessional communication skills. Clinical training is integrated throughout the program, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge in supervised healthcare environments and develop competence in patient assessment and treatment planning. The remaining 40 credit points consist of a flexible structure that may include a major, minor, concentration, or elective subjects, enabling students to tailor their studies according to personal interests and career goals.
