COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science / Bachelor of Business double degree is a 320 credit point program designed to integrate scientific knowledge with business expertise, preparing graduates for careers across both scientific and commercial sectors. The structure includes a 20 credit point Science Core component that introduces foundational scientific concepts, methods of inquiry, and analytical skills required for advanced study in science disciplines. The Business Core component, worth 80 credit points, provides essential knowledge in key business areas such as management, economics, accounting, marketing, and organisational behaviour, ensuring students develop a strong understanding of commercial principles and practices. A 10 credit point Capstone unit is included to allow students to integrate and apply knowledge from both disciplines in a culminating learning experience, often involving problem-solving or applied projects. Students also complete 80 credit points in a Business Testamur Major, enabling specialised study in areas such as accounting, finance, marketing, human resource management, international business, or related fields. The Science Testamur Major, worth 130 credit points, allows students to specialise in a scientific discipline such as biology, chemistry, forensic science, agricultural science, applied physics, or environmental science, developing advanced technical and analytical expertise. Overall, the program structure provides a balanced combination of science and business education, producing graduates with strong interdisciplinary skills suitable for diverse professional roles in industry, research, management, and science-based organisations.
