COURSE CURRICULUM

This Bachelor of Laws (Non-Graduate Entry) (Honours) program is structured as a 320 credit point degree designed to provide a comprehensive and professionally accredited legal education. The Core component consists of 190 credit points and includes compulsory law subjects that form the foundation of legal knowledge and practice in Australia. These subjects typically cover key areas such as criminal law, contracts, torts, constitutional law, administrative law, property law, equity and trusts, legal ethics, civil and criminal procedure, and dispute resolution. Together, they ensure students develop a strong understanding of the Australian legal system and the principles that underpin it. The program also includes 50 credit points of LLB Alternate Subjects, allowing students to choose specialised law electives in areas such as international law, corporate law, human rights, environmental law, technology and cyber law, or clinical legal practice, enabling them to tailor their studies to specific interests or career goals. In addition, students complete 80 credit points of general Elective Subjects from outside law, which may include disciplines such as business, communication, psychology, social sciences, or information systems. This structure supports interdisciplinary learning and broader career flexibility. Overall, the program combines core legal training with specialisation and academic diversity, preparing graduates for legal practice as well as wider professional opportunities.
