COURSE CURRICULUM

The combined Bachelor of Information Systems and Bachelor of Laws is a 400-credit-point double degree designed to develop strong expertise in both legal practice and digital technology, preparing graduates for careers in law, IT, and digital transformation. The structure includes 320 credit points of core subjects spanning both disciplines. The Law component provides a solid foundation in Australian legal principles and practice through subjects such as Fundamentals of Australian Law, Criminal Law, Contracts, Torts, Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Equity and Trusts, Property Law, and Civil and Criminal Procedure. It also develops skills in legal reasoning, ethics, advocacy, dispute resolution, and professional responsibility. The Information Systems component builds technical and analytical capabilities through subjects such as Programming Fundamentals, Database Design, Computer Networking, Systems Analysis and Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Project Management, Digital Transformation, Business Analytics, and Emerging Trends in Information Systems. Students also gain professional experience through work-integrated learning and industry-focused projects. In addition, the program includes 80 credit points of LLB alternate subjects, allowing students to specialise in areas such as cyber law, intellectual property, human rights law, corporate law, environmental law, and legal clinics or internships. This integrated structure equips graduates with multidisciplinary skills suited for careers in legal practice, IT consulting, cybersecurity, systems analysis, regulatory compliance, and digital policy development.
