COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) combined with the Bachelor of Laws (Honours) is designed to develop interdisciplinary expertise across computing, information systems, and legal studies, preparing graduates for careers in both technology and law. The ICT component provides a strong foundation in core areas such as networking, databases, programming, systems analysis and design, web and mobile technologies, operating systems, human–computer interaction, project management, and professional communication. It also builds essential mathematical and statistical skills required for ICT professionals and is accredited by the Australian Computer Society, ensuring industry relevance. The Laws (Honours) component delivers a comprehensive and progressive legal education with a strong practical focus. Students develop advanced skills in legal analysis, critical thinking, research, communication, collaboration, and ethical and professional judgement, alongside practical competencies in advocacy, negotiation, and legal technology. Through case-based learning, authentic assessment, and opportunities such as work-integrated learning, clinical placements, and international exchanges, students gain real-world legal experience. The program meets academic requirements for admission to legal practice in Australia and supports specialised study in both local and international law areas. The structure typically includes core ICT and law subjects, a minor for interdisciplinary depth, and alternate law electives, enabling students to tailor their studies to diverse career pathways in technology, legal practice, cybersecurity, policy, and business innovation.
