COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Information and Communications Technology and Bachelor of Laws double degree is a 400 credit point program that integrates technical computing expertise with a comprehensive legal education. The ICT component (120 credit points) provides foundational knowledge in areas such as programming, databases, networking, systems analysis and design, web and mobile technologies, operating systems, human-computer interaction, project management, professional communication, and applied mathematics. This equips students with strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills relevant to modern digital industries. The law component (160 credit points) delivers a structured legal education covering core areas such as criminal law, torts, contracts, constitutional law, administrative law, equity and trusts, property law, legal ethics, dispute resolution, and legal procedure, developing strong reasoning, research, and advocacy skills. The program also includes a 40 credit point minor, allowing students to broaden their expertise in a complementary area such as cybersecurity, business, data analytics, or another interdisciplinary field, enhancing career flexibility. In addition, 80 credit points of law electives enable further specialisation in areas such as technology law, cyber law, human rights, or corporate law. Overall, the degree prepares graduates for careers at the intersection of law and technology, including roles in legal practice, IT consulting, cybersecurity, digital policy, compliance, and technology governance in both public and private sectors.
