COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Sport and Performance Science is a 240-credit-point program that provides students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in exercise science, human performance, health, and rehabilitation. The course begins with foundational subjects such as Fundamentals of Exercise Science, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Psychology and Health, and Professional Competencies in Health, helping students understand the structure and function of the human body and the principles of health science. As students progress, they study specialised areas including functional anatomy, biomechanics, exercise physiology, exercise bioenergetics, and exercise testing and measurement, developing the scientific understanding needed to assess and improve physical performance. The program also focuses on practical applications through subjects such as Exercise Prescription, Strength and Conditioning, Exercise Nutrition, and Applied Biomechanics, enabling students to design evidence-based training and rehabilitation programs. Additional studies in motor control, skill acquisition, sport and exercise psychology, and applied physiology prepare students to support performance, injury prevention, and health outcomes across diverse populations. Research Methods in Health strengthens analytical and research capabilities, while Work Experience in Sport and Exercise Science provides valuable industry exposure and real-world learning. Graduates are equipped for careers in sport science, health promotion, rehabilitation, fitness, and performance-related industries.
