COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Creative Leadership at Western Sydney University is an 80-credit-point concurrent program designed to be completed alongside another bachelor degree, with most credit transferred from the primary study program. It focuses on developing advanced leadership, critical thinking, and innovation skills that can be applied across any discipline or career path. The core structure consists of eight subjects that build progressively in areas such as leadership theory, systems thinking, creativity, ethics, and community engagement. Students study Leadership in Complexity and Critical and Systems Thinking to understand modern organisational challenges and decision-making in complex environments. Subjects like Creativity, Design Thinking and Visualisation encourage innovative problem-solving and idea development, while Knowledge Journeys and Logic, Argumentation and Post-Truth strengthen reflective thinking and analytical reasoning. The program also includes Changemakers and Entrepreneurship, which focuses on innovation, initiative, and creating social or business impact. Ethical Leadership and Citizenship and Community Engagement develop responsibility, integrity, and awareness of social issues in leadership roles. Overall, the Bachelor of Creative Leadership is designed to enhance students’ ability to think critically, lead effectively, and apply creative strategies in real-world situations, preparing them for leadership roles in global, professional, and community-focused environments across a wide range of industries.
