COURSE CURRICULUM

Construction Management Studies and Laws double degree is a 400-credit-point program designed to develop expertise in both the construction industry and the legal profession. The structure includes 320 credit points of core Construction Management Studies and Law subjects that provide a strong foundation in building technology, project management, construction processes, and legal principles. In the construction component, students engage with applied learning in areas such as building materials, structural behaviour, environmental factors, and construction systems, while also gaining significant industry experience through structured practical training and work-integrated learning. The Law component develops essential legal skills, including legal reasoning, research, advocacy, negotiation, drafting, and a deep understanding of the Australian legal system and its relationship with society. Students also build critical thinking, communication, ethical awareness, and problem-solving abilities applicable across both disciplines. In addition, the program includes 80 credit points of LLB alternate subjects, allowing students to tailor their legal studies and explore specialised areas of law that complement their construction expertise. This integrated structure ensures graduates are well prepared for multidisciplinary careers that bridge construction, infrastructure development, contract management, compliance, and legal practice. The combination of technical and legal training produces highly adaptable professionals suited to complex roles in government, private industry, and consultancy sectors.
