COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Laws (Honours) combined with the Bachelor of Business is structured as a 400-credit-point program designed to integrate legal education with core business disciplines. The Law component (190 credit points) forms the foundation of the degree and includes compulsory subjects that cover key areas such as contracts, torts, criminal law, constitutional law, administrative law, property law, equity, and legal procedure. These subjects develop students’ understanding of legal principles, statutory interpretation, and the relationship between law and society while building practical skills in legal reasoning, research, and problem-solving. The Business component (70 credit points) introduces essential concepts in areas such as management, marketing, economics, organisational behaviour, and professional practice, providing students with a strong understanding of how businesses operate in local and global contexts. An additional 10 credit points of alternate business subjects allow flexibility in foundational learning, while an 80-credit-point business major enables students to specialise in fields such as accounting, finance, marketing, human resource management, or economics. The program also includes 50 credit points of LLB alternate subjects, allowing students to deepen their legal expertise in specialised or elective law areas. Overall, the structure is designed to produce graduates with strong interdisciplinary skills suited for careers in law, business, policy, governance, and corporate environments.
