COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Laws double degree is a 400 credit point program that integrates professional legal education with a broad business foundation to prepare graduates for diverse career pathways. The law component (160 credit points) covers core areas including criminal law, torts, contracts, constitutional law, administrative law, equity and trusts, property law, civil and criminal procedure, remedies, legal ethics, and alternative dispute resolution. These subjects develop strong analytical thinking, legal reasoning, research skills, and an understanding of the relationship between law and society. The business component (70 credit points) provides foundational knowledge in areas such as economics, marketing, management, organisational behaviour, digital transformation, employability, and evidence-based decision making, supported by professional experience and industry engagement. Students then select a business major (80 credit points) from disciplines such as accounting, finance, economics, human resource management, international business, marketing, property, sport management, or business analytics, allowing specialisation aligned with career goals. The program also includes alternate subjects in both business and law, enabling further customisation through electives in areas such as corporate law, human rights, technology law, taxation, or clinics and internships. This flexible structure ensures graduates are equipped with both legal expertise and commercial insight, enhancing employability in law firms, corporations, government, and global business environments.
