COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) combined with the Bachelor of Laws is an integrated double degree designed to develop expertise in human behaviour alongside comprehensive legal training. The program combines core psychology studies such as cognitive processes, social psychology, personality, developmental psychology, brain and behaviour, motivation and emotion, perception, abnormal psychology, and research methods with foundational and advanced law subjects including criminal law, torts, contracts, constitutional law, administrative law, equity and trusts, property law, remedies, and criminal procedure. Students also undertake subjects in research design, statistics, and communication, building strong analytical and evidence-based decision-making skills. The degree emphasizes critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, ethical awareness, and professional judgement across both disciplines. Law components provide practical training in advocacy, dispute resolution, legal analysis, and legal ethics, supported by clinical and experiential learning opportunities such as justice clinics and internships. Psychology training enhances understanding of human behaviour, cognition, and mental health, supporting careers that require insight into people and systems. Graduates are equipped for diverse pathways in law, psychology related fields, policy, research, social services, and community work, or for further professional study in either discipline, making the program a flexible and career-focused qualification with strong employability and pathways.
