COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Accounting program is structured over three years, with each year divided into three trimesters, combining core accounting subjects with electives to provide both depth and flexibility. In the first year, students build a foundational understanding of accounting, economics, law, management, and statistics, including courses such as Accounting in Context, Principles of Economics, Enterprise Law, Financial Accounting Applications, Techniques in Financial Accounting, Management Accounting Fundamentals, Law of Business Organisation, and Statistics for Business. Elective subjects allow students to explore areas of personal interest alongside the core curriculum. The second year focuses on advancing accounting knowledge and applying it in practical contexts. Core courses include Contemporary Management Accounting, Accounting Standards and Governance, Corporate Financial Management, Corporate Accounting Systems, Accounting Information Systems, and The Accountant as a Consultant, complemented by additional electives to broaden skills and knowledge. The third year emphasizes professional application and specialization, with core subjects in Auditing and Assurance Services and opportunities to explore multiple elective subjects, enabling students to tailor their studies to specific career goals.
