COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Business Analytics at Victoria University is a 192-credit-point postgraduate program designed to equip students with advanced analytical and data-driven decision-making skills for modern business environments. The course is structured into college core units, professional core units, ethics and capstone units, and electives, providing a balanced mix of business foundations and specialised analytics knowledge. The college core units develop essential understanding in accounting for management, business economics, data analysis, and organisational systems, ensuring students have a strong grounding in key business principles. The professional core units focus on advanced and industry-relevant skills such as predictive analytics, data visualisation, business data mining and warehousing, coding for analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, analytics project management, and data security and governance. These subjects ensure students are well prepared to work with complex datasets and modern analytical tools. In addition, students complete the Business Ethics and Sustainability unit, which develops awareness of responsible and ethical business practices, and an Applied Business Project capstone that provides hands-on experience solving real-world problems. Elective units allow further specialisation and flexibility based on career goals.
