COURSE CURRICULUM

The Diploma of Cyber Security at Victoria University is a 96-credit-point program designed to provide foundational knowledge and practical skills in protecting digital systems and data. The course includes core units that build essential understanding across programming, networking, systems, and security concepts. Students begin with Introduction to Programming, where they develop basic coding and problem-solving skills, followed by Computer Networks, which explains how data is transmitted and managed across systems. Introduction to Database Systems focuses on how information is stored, organised, and retrieved efficiently, while Operating Systems provides an understanding of how computer systems function and are controlled. Cyber Security Essentials introduces the core principles of protecting systems and identifying threats.
