COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Science (Medical Radiation Physics) is a 96-credit-point postgraduate program designed to equip graduates with advanced knowledge and technical skills in the application of radiation physics within medical and healthcare settings. The course is structured over two full-time years, with 48 credit points completed in Year 1 and 48 credit points in Year 2. In Year 1, students focus on building a strong foundation in medical physics, radiation science, mathematics, and related biological and engineering principles. This stage introduces key concepts such as radiation interactions with matter, imaging technologies, dosimetry, and radiation safety, alongside essential laboratory and practical training. In Year 2, the program advances into more specialised and applied areas, including radiotherapy physics, nuclear medicine, medical imaging systems, and radiation protection in clinical environments.
