COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Information Technology (Enterprise Systems) at the University of Wollongong is a 96-credit-point postgraduate program designed to develop advanced technical and professional skills in modern information systems and business-focused IT solutions. The program includes 48 credit points of core subjects that build a strong foundation in key areas such as programming, data structures, database systems, system analysis, project management, web development, strategic network design, and security, ethics, and professionalism. These core subjects prepare students to understand both the technical and organisational aspects of information technology in real-world environments. In addition to the core component, students complete 18 credit points in the Enterprise Systems specialisation (MAJ44281), which focuses on designing, managing, and integrating large-scale organisational information systems. This specialisation teaches students how to translate enterprise IT strategies into effective infrastructure solutions and how to integrate multiple independent systems into a unified, efficient, and scalable digital ecosystem. Students learn how enterprise systems improve business operations, decision-making, and organisational efficiency across industries.
