COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) Advanced with a Project Management specialisation consists of 96 credit points and is structured to develop strong managerial capabilities along with advanced project leadership skills. The program includes 60 credit points of core MBA subjects that provide a solid foundation in key business disciplines such as strategy, leadership, economics, finance, marketing, operations, and data-informed decision-making. These core subjects help students understand how organisations function in complex and competitive global environments and how projects align with overall business objectives. A capstone subject is also included, which is completed after the core units and provides an integrative learning experience where students apply their knowledge to real-world business problems through collaborative projects or consulting-style case studies. In addition, students complete 24 credit points in the Project Management specialisation (MAJ40384), which focuses on the principles, tools, and techniques required to plan, execute, and control projects effectively. This includes project lifecycle management, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, resource allocation, and quality control. The specialisation also develops leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills needed to coordinate teams and deliver successful project outcomes. With increasing reliance on technology-driven project environments, students also gain insight into modern project management systems and practices. By combining core MBA learning, a capstone experience, and specialised project management training, the program prepares graduates for careers as project managers, program leaders, business consultants, and operational managers across a wide range of industries.
