COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) Advanced with an Accounting specialisation consists of 96 credit points designed to provide a balanced mix of core business knowledge, applied learning, and specialised accounting expertise. The program includes 60 credit points of core subjects that build a strong foundation in essential business areas such as leadership, strategy, finance, economics, marketing, operations, and data-driven decision-making. These core subjects ensure students develop a comprehensive understanding of how modern organisations operate in complex and competitive environments. A capstone subject is also included, which is undertaken after completion of core subjects and provides an integrative learning experience where students apply their knowledge to real-world business problems, often through case studies or consulting-style projects. In addition, the degree requires 24 credit points of specialised study in Accounting (MAJ40333), where students develop advanced skills in financial reporting, management accounting, auditing, taxation principles, and financial analysis. This specialisation prepares students to interpret and communicate financial information effectively for decision-making in corporate, government, and professional settings. By combining core MBA learning, a capstone experience, and focused accounting expertise, the program equips graduates with both strategic business leadership capabilities and strong technical accounting knowledge, enhancing their employability and readiness for roles in finance, accounting, and management.
