COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Psychological Science (Management) is a 144 credit point undergraduate degree delivered over three years at the Wollongong campus, designed to provide a strong foundation in psychology combined with specialised knowledge in management and organisational practice. The program is structured so that students complete 48 credit points per year across first, second, and third year, ensuring steady academic progression in both psychological theory and applied business skills. In the first year, students are introduced to core psychology subjects such as cognitive psychology, social psychology, developmental psychology, biological psychology, and research methods, which build an understanding of human behaviour and scientific analysis. In the second year, students deepen their psychological knowledge and begin to explore its application in workplace and organisational contexts, including decision-making and behaviour in groups. In the third year, students complete advanced psychology subjects alongside the Management major (MAJ40193), which is worth 48 credit points and focuses on leadership, organisational behaviour, strategic planning, business operations, sustainability, and ethical decision-making in organisations. The major also develops practical skills through applied learning experiences such as case studies, internships, or capstone projects. Overall, the degree equips graduates with strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills, preparing them for careers in management, human resources, consulting, organisational development, and other business-related fields.
