COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Primary Education is a four-year undergraduate degree consisting of a total of 192 credit points, designed to prepare students for a professional career as a Kindergarten to Year 6 teacher in Australian primary schools. The program is structured so that students complete 48 credit points per year across four years, ensuring a steady progression of academic learning and practical teaching skills. In the first year, students are introduced to foundational concepts in education, child development, literacy, numeracy, and the Australian primary curriculum, building essential knowledge of how children learn and develop. In the second year, students deepen their understanding of pedagogy, classroom management, inclusive education, and subject-specific teaching methods, while also beginning supervised school placements.
