COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Telecommunications Engineering and Internet of Things major) is a 192-credit-point program designed to prepare students for careers in modern communication networks, connected devices, and smart digital systems. The degree begins with a 48-credit-point first year that provides a strong foundation in core engineering principles such as mathematics, physics, programming, circuit theory, and engineering design. These foundational subjects equip students with the essential knowledge required for advanced study in telecommunications and networked technologies. From the second year onwards, students complete a 144-credit-point major in Telecommunications Engineering and Internet of Things, where they study key areas including wireless communication systems, network engineering, signal processing, embedded systems, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and IoT architecture. The program focuses on designing and managing intelligent, interconnected systems that enable data collection, communication, and automation across industries such as healthcare, transport, energy, agriculture, and smart cities.
