COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Mechatronic Engineering major) is a 192-credit-point program designed to prepare students for careers in intelligent systems, robotics, and advanced automation technologies. The degree begins with a 48-credit-point first year that provides a strong foundation in core engineering principles, including mathematics, physics, programming, engineering design, and problem-solving skills. These foundational subjects build the essential knowledge required for interdisciplinary engineering study. From the second year onwards, students complete a 144-credit-point Mechatronic Engineering major, where they integrate knowledge from mechanical, electrical, computer, and control engineering. Key areas of study include control systems, microcontroller architecture and applications, electronics, mechanical design, electrical energy systems, robotics, sensors, and flexible automation. The program focuses on designing and developing intelligent systems used in industries such as automotive engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, medical devices, and consumer electronics. Students gain practical experience through laboratory work, simulations, engineering design projects, and real-world problem-solving activities that develop strong technical, analytical, and teamwork skills. The course is delivered by academic staff engaged in cutting-edge research, ensuring exposure to modern technologies such as artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), and smart manufacturing systems. Graduates are well prepared for careers in robotics, automation, control systems engineering, product development, and emerging smart technology industries worldwide, contributing to the development of advanced and intelligent engineering solutions.
